Senior Management Biographies

Don Clarke – Chairman & CEO

Don started his career in the company in the early days as a junior sales representative on the road, travelling the country roads of Ireland in the 1980s. He has guided the company through the challenges of recession and COVID-19 and has achieved significant business successes. With almost 50 years of service, Don supports his senior team in all aspects of the business, including strategy, ESG, customer relations, sales, and marketing. He is the majority shareholder of the Impact Group. Don has supported the company’s CSR efforts in the local community and national charities and loves nothing more than spending time with his family, friends, and colleagues. Not to mention a visit to the golf club or rugby game.

Chris Stinson – Managing Director

After completing his BSc Hons in Science with Business at UUC 1990-1994, Chris joined the company in 1995 as a Sales Executive responsible for the Northern Ireland market.When Impact opened a facility in Northern Ireland, Chris joined the sales office there, becoming Sales Office Manager in 1999, General Manager of the facility in 2004, and subsequently a Director in 2015. Since 2021, Chris has been a board member of the Impact Group. With almost 30 years of experience, he plays a vital role as Managing Director of the Impact Group. Chris leads the Executive committee which steers the strategy and development of Impact Group and reports to the Impact board. Chris is a Keen golfer and plays as often as his schedule permits.

Peter Clarke – Group Sales Director

Peter has worked his way through many positions in the company, including account manager, Sales Manager, and Commercial Director.Today, as Group Sales Director, he manages a number of specialist sales teams on the island of Ireland and internationally. With over 35 years of experience, Peter is a stalwart within Impact who leads by example. Peter is a member of the Executive committee which steers the strategy and development of Impact Group and reports to the Impact board. Peter has a taste for travelling, specifically across the United States, and has recently completed visiting all fifty States.

Martin Geaney – Executive Director

With over 25 years working in the company, Martin has played a major role in the development and success of the Impact Ireland Aluminium Centre based in Cork. Before taking on the position of Executive Director, Martin was the Service Centre Manager for the division. His industry knowledge has assisted all areas of the company’s challenges and success. Martin is a member of the Executive committee which steers the strategy and development of Impact Group and reports to the Impact board. Martin is a sports fanatic. He loves all ball games, including GAA, Rugby, and Soccer, and is very involved in his local community.

Greg Marks – Finance Director

With more than 30 years of experience operating at the executive level, Greg joined the Impact Group in early 2022. Prior to that, he was the Managing Director of his own Financial Accounting, Consulting and Coaching Company. Greg was also the Finance Director for Click.ie, European Finance Director for Indiqu Inc. and spent over eight years at Eircom Phone Watch, which culminated with his appointment to the Board as Financial and Operational Director. Greg is a qualified Certified Public Accountant and qualified Life and Business coach. Greg is a member of the Executive committee which steers the strategy and development of Impact Group and reports to the Impact board. He considers himself not your typical accountant, with hobbies that include acting, stand-up comedy, and writing, and he still attempts to play soccer on the weekends.

John Wall – Non-Executive Director

John joined Impact as a Non-Executive Director in December 2015. With over 40 years of experience as a Banker, 37 of which were in the UK, John plays an integral part in developing the company’s future strategies and provides motivational advice and guidance to all management and staff in the group. John is based in England, where he lives with his family. John has a Diploma in Management Studies and completed the General Manager Programme at Harvard Business School. He is a keen supporter of Liverpool Football Club.
