Nickel Alloy 718

Nickel Alloy 718 is a precipitation hardening nickel-chromium alloy containing significant amounts of iron, niobium and molybdenum with lesser amounts of aluminium and titanium. Maintains high strength, good ductility and oxidation resistance up to high temperatures while also having outstanding cryogenic properties. It has outstanding weldability including resistance to post-weld cracking.

Typical applications: Downhole tools, choke stems, gate valves, sub-surface safety valves, tubing hangers, wellhead components and fasteners.
